ラーメン Raamen

Hello everyone! and welcome to Japanese at work.

Today, I would like to introduce Ramen, Raamen.

Let's start!

ree

Raamen is one of Japan's most popular foods. Raamen is made from noodles, soup and various ingredients.

Firstly, noodles are made mainly from flour and water. The thickness and hardness of the noodles vary depending on the type of ramen. Different types of noodles have different textures and flavours.

Secondly, the soup is one of the most characteristic parts of the raamen. Soup bases include soy sauce, miso, salt and pork bone from the bones. This gives ramen a variety of flavours.

There are also many ingredients, often including chashu (thin slices of pork), menma (fermented bamboo shoots), spring onions and seasoned eggs. These ingredients make ramen tastier and feel more well-fed.

Each region of Japan has its own unique style and taste of raamen. For example, Sapporo raamen is characterised by a very thick miso soup, while Kyushu ramen is popular for its pork-based soup.

Raamen is affordable and easy to enjoy, making it a popular choice for many people. We encourage you to try local ramen when you visit Japan.

Oh, yes. Why I put double "a" in the spelling of Raamen. Because that's how it's spelt when pronounced correctly!

That wraps up our guide for today.
