Very basic grammar of Japanese

The basic structure of Japanese sentences is very simple. There are only three types of predicates in Japanese sentences. Verbs, adjectives and nouns. For example:
(1) verb sentence
「母がうちで本を読む」[Haha ga uchi de hon o yomu]
My mum read a book at home.「読む」=read : verb
adjective sentence
「日本はすしがとてもおいしい」[nihon wa sushi ga totemo oishii]
Sushi is very delicious in Japan. 「おいしい」=delicious : いadjective
「富士山は日本でいちばん有名な山です」[Fujisan ga nihon de ichiban yuumei-na yama desu]
Mt. Fuji is the most famous mountain in Japan. 「有名な」= famous : なadjective
noun sentence
「明日はクリスマスです」[ashita wa kurisumasu des
