Hello everyone! and welcome to Japanese at work.

Today, I would like to introduce How to listen back in Japanese.
Let’s start!
If you cannot hear something in a Japanese conversation, it is important to respond appropriately. The following are examples of expressions that can be used for this purpose.
「すみません、もう いちど?」
“sumimasen, mow ichido?”
「すみません、もう いちど おねがい できます か?」
“sumimasen, mow ichido onegai dekimas ka?”
This is a polite and common expression, asking the person to speak again.
If the person is speaking too fast, it is easier to understand if you ask them to tell you this.
「もう少し ゆっくり、話して いただけ ます か?」
“mow sukoshi yuk kuri, hanashite itadake mas ka?
「むずかしい 言葉 が わかりません、やさしい言葉 で お願い できます か?」
“muzukashii kotoba ga wakarimasen, yasasii kotoba de onegai dekimas ka?”
Using this expression makes it easier for the other person to understand that you are learning Japanese. They will also be more considerate and speak in simple language.
That wraps up our guide for today.
I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Your support means the world to me.
